The information on Helen Jones comes mainly from the CURRER, CURRER-BRIGGS & SHEPHERD, 1612-1961 pedigree prepared by the late Noel Currer-Briggs.
Helen was tha daughter of Brigadier Benjamin Jones and Elizabeth Martin, his second wife. Benjamin Jones was the son of another Benjamin Jones, and was born in 1799 at Lady Halton, Broomfield, Ludlow. Helen was born in 1860. After the death of her mother in 1869, she was brought up by her uncle Samuel Dickinson Martin. He was a noted surveyor and civil engineer, who worked with George Stephenson on railway construction.
In 1883, Helen married Arthur Currer Briggs(369), and they had three children; Dorothy Currer Briggs (1884-1956), Reginald Martin Currer Briggs (1891-1947), and Donald Henry Currer Briggs (1893-1974).
